The book reconstructs the course and character of the Battle of Kletsk in 1506, which was one of the most important and famous in the military history of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. This event is considered against the background of the general military and political situation in Eastern Europe at the turn of the XV-XVI centuries. The research was carried out using the method of historical anthropology: one of its sections is a political biography of the main hero of the Battle of Kletsk, Mikhail Glinski, and other prominent political figures of the Jagiellonian state were not overlooked. In addition, the history of the creation of the memory of the Battle of Kletka in 1506 is analyzed: the formation of the image of the battle, as well as its main character, in the minds of contemporaries and descendants, as well as the transformation of this image over the centuries.
