Uladzimir Nyaklyaev (b. 1946 in Kreve) is an absolute classic of modern Belarusian literature, whose works have also been translated into dozens of languages. His poetry is characterized by the suggestiveness and extraordinary elasticity of the line, it clearly shows the tight fusion of the lyrical hero’s personality with the past, present and future of his native land and the whole world.
